Whom the funds will go to at the fundraising dinner? The Mental Health Association currently run the Workplace Health Promotion Network (WHPN) without any funding and would like the opportunity to be able to provide more hands on assistance to our members and other workplaces. In their latest annual survey 69% of members who completed the survey indicated they would like a tool-kit on managing mental illness and promoting mental health in the workplace. The funds will be used to develop this toolkit, and roll it out to workplaces with on site training and on the job-coaching with different streams developed for HR, people managers and employees. It will involve recruiting and managing people with a mental illness and promoting good mental health and resilience for the whole organisation. How you can contribute:
Who is the Mental Health Association NSW?The Mental Health Association NSW is a community-based organisation and registered charity. The MHA plays a vital role in the development of mental health initiatives which result in increased community awareness and knowledge of mental health issues. With the support of our Board, staff, members, volunteers and students, we work towards a society free from prejudice and discrimination against people living with mental illness. We strive towards a community that embraces mental, social and emotional wellbeing for all people. We promote workplace health and wellbeing through our Workplace Health Promotion Network (WHPN) which aims to share evidence-based tools, information and resources to help promote workplace health and wellbeing. We have over 260 members from 127 organisations in HR, OH&S and other related roles. For more information visit http://www.mentalhealth.asn.au |
